WATCH: Ramaphosa’s Women’s Day address disrupted by protesters

President Cyril Ramaphosa’s National Women’s Day address in Paarl in the Western Cape on Thursday was disrupted by protesters as his speech was about to begin.

As Ramaphosa took to the podium, he was confronted with a sea of protesters carrying placards calling on him to sign a moratorium on evictions, among other things.

Placards also read: “This is our land” and “We want our land back”.

Once the crowd had settled, Ramaphosa said, “I have seen the posters. We will talk about it later.”
